El pasado sábado 17, en Cádiar, se celebró otra acción informativa de la Mesa del Agua, que canaliza la protesta contra el trasvase en cabecera del río Trevélez.
Se volvió a informar de que:
-No es un trasvase que se haga para dar de beber a La Contraviesa, que ya tiene suficiente con la primera pantaneta y sólo hay que echar cuentas con la cantidad de litros trasvasados y el número actual de habitantes. En realidad incluso deberían sobrar y si no es así es porque:
1º- Se pierde un 30% del caudal en fugas por avería en las canalizaciones (cantidad reconocida por las empresas que lo gestionan). Mejor sería utilizar el dinero del futuro trasvase indeseado en arreglar esas fugas.
2º- Se utiliza el agua en riego de invernaderos, duchas de playa, huertos en cortijos que nunca tuvieron regadíos, incluso piscinas… etc.
3º- Hay un tremendo aumento de la población en verano por la cuestión turística en la zona de la costa.
